Appointment Information
Because your homeopath treats the ‘whole’ patient, the more information that you can share about yourself, your symptoms, and your health history, the better as it will help us establish the right treatment plan for you.
Please make sure that your Client Information Form and your Medical History Form are completed and returned at least 2 working days prior to your appointment.
Initial consults are approximately 1-1.5 hours and follow ups are approximately 30-45mins. At the end of your consultation, you will be given a homeopathic remedy to start your treatment, along with the instructions to use it.
AFTER YOUR INITIAL APPOINTMENT
By using homeopathic medicines, we are aiming to addressing the root cause of the illness, not just mask symptoms..
Sometimes relief can be immediate, but with chronic conditions that took time to develop, healing can also take some time, and changes can be subtle so it’s important to stick with your treatment plan and attend all follow up appointments.
CHECKING IN
You might be asked to check in via email 2-3 days after you begin a new remedy, just to check your sensitivity to the remedy and see how your body is responding. This is an important part of the treatment process and your ongoing prescription frequency will be given after this check in. After this, if you have urgent questions or concerns you are always welcome to contact us, but please do so via email so that we can attend to you promptly during business hours. It has been found that text messages aren’t an efficient way of communicating with clients due to a number of reasons. Client emails are checked regularly and usually responded to during business hours on the same day or within 24 hours. Please consider keeping non-urgent questions or communication for your follow up appointment due to the sheer number of emails that can otherwise be received.
KEEPING RECORDS
If you notice any new symptoms or obvious changes to how you are feeling, please write them down so you can share them at your next appointment. You should also consider and note any changes or improvements to overall wellbeing, sleep and mood.
CHRONIC ILLNESS
As mentioned, chronic illness takes time to develop and sometimes there are different layers of illness and toxicity that we need to remove as your body heals. In these cases, we may need to multiple remedies over a period of months as layers are removed, so please be patient and stay the course. During this time, it is always our hope that you will be seeing ongoing results and improvement which will encourage you to that treatment is working.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellations within 24 hours of the appointment will attract full appointment fees. If you are unable to make your appointment due to illness, we offer online appointments so that you do not miss out.
PRIVACY POLICY
Your privacy is important to us. All records and information provided to us is bound by client/practitioner privilege except in the following circumstances:
a) You give your consent for us to share or discuss your information.
b) We are required by law to share your information.
c) We believe that you are a significant risk to either yourself, or others.
RISKS/BENEFITS
Homeopaths are not medical doctors, and therefore should not replace consultation with a medical professional. As with any conventional or complementary medical treatment, results are highly individualised & can never be guaranteed. As with any medicine (conventional natural, homeopathic or otherwise), there are small risks of reactions due to unforeseen circumstances such as unknown allergies and individual sensitivities. If any reactions occur, please stop taking your remedy until you can get in touch with your homeopath to discuss any changes that may be required.
medications
Homeopathy can be taken alongside regular pharmaceutical medication but it is important to disclose to your homeopath any medications you are taking or any allergies or intolerances that you have (food, environmental or otherwise). A homeopath cannot instruct or advise you on your pharmaceutical medications and you should never cease taking any medications prescribed by your doctor without first talking to them.
referrals
Your homeopath may refer you back to your medical doctor if they feel that further medical investigations are necessary. It will be your responsibility to do so alongside any homeopathic treatment that you are receiving. Please update your homeopath regarding the results of any investigations conducted.
